What an alert is
A cashier presses Call a manager on a till, says what it is about and adds a few words. It appears here at once, with the store and register. Retail also raises one itself when a sale taken offline arrives after its register session was closed.
- Open Retail › Alerts.
- Press Acknowledge to say somebody is dealing with it.
- Press Resolve when it is done. A complaint or a security alert needs a note of what was done.
An alert is not a phone call and nobody is messaged. The page refreshes by itself; somebody has to be looking at it. A resolved alert stays on record.
One kind is not a call for help. A sale kept at a till was set aside says that a sale a till took offline, which Accmerio would not record, was set aside there with a manager's approval. Its message gives the sale's reference, its total, the reason, who rang it up and why the server refused it. The money was taken and the sale is not in the books: check that it was rung up again as a new sale, or accounted for, then resolve the alert. See A kept sale the server will not record in the tills chapter.
What reaches the books
Nothing.
