Add a supplier
- Open Purchases › Suppliers and press New supplier.
- Enter the Display name, and the Legal name if different.
- Enter their Tax registration number. You need their TRN on their tax invoice to recover the input VAT they charged you. A UAE TRN is 15 digits; spaces and dashes are fine. A supplier abroad keeps its own country's number — with its letters, or with a country other than the UAE in its address — and it is not checked.
- Choose Payment terms — they set the due date on every bill you enter from this supplier.
- Add the email, phone and address. Pick the phone's dialling code from the list (type a country's name or the code to find it) and enter the number beside it. Leave Supplier ticked, and press Create supplier.
Payment terms
The same five terms as customers — Due on receipt, Net days, End of month, End of month + days, Day of next month — worked out from the bill's issue date. See the table in Customers.
Find a supplier
Search finds a supplier by name, code, email or phone and, if you may see the aged listings, by what you owe them. The list is in name order; Sort offers the same orders as customers, with Largest balance first putting whoever you owe most at the top.
Each supplier is a card across the page, as on Customers. With the aged listings it shows You owe (the figure on the Payables Aging Report; In credit with them when they owe you), Overdue with how late the oldest bill is, Open bills and Last activity. The ⋮ on a card edits or removes the supplier.
Transactions opens every movement with them — bills, debit notes, payments, write-offs, opening balances and voids — with a running Balance over the Period, read from the payables ledger, each Reference opening what posted it. Bills opens every bill with them, with its due date, status, total and outstanding amount.
